The KUHN OPTIMER XL is the range of independent disc cultivators designed for stubble cultivation and intensive soil tillage, even in conditions with large quantities of crop residue. The 620 mm discs allow for the mixing and incorporation of residues, to prepare the soil for subsequent working stages.

OPTIMER XL 100: Mounted compact model

The OPTIMER XL 1000 can be optionally equipped with Ø 400 mm shredder roller for green crops, levelling bar for breaking up clods, intermediate harrow for even straw distribution, rear harrow for mechanical weed destruction and direct seeding kit in the soil stream.

When do you choose the KUHN OPTIMER XL instead of the OPTIMER L?

The KUHN OPTIMER XL is designed for operations requiring more intensive tillage and the incorporation of larger quantities of crop residues. The 620 mm discs allow working up to 15 cm deep, whereas the OPTIMER L range uses 510 mm discs and is geared towards shallower tillage.

Choosing between the two ranges depends mainly on the working depth aimed for and the volume of plant residue in the plot.
