AutoTrac™ steering greatly increases operator productivity while maintaining consistent accuracy and efficiency. Operators remain alert while in the field and can focus on machine settings and variable field conditions.
University studies have shown that operators tend to overlap by 5 to 13% over the course of a full day, which could mean up to 60cm of overlap with a 6m seeder. This means that a producer with 300 ha is actually working and paying for 330 ha.
By reducing overlap with AutoTrac™, more area is covered at the same time, reducing consumption of chemicals, fertiliser, fuel, labour and machine hours.
AutoTrac™ allows manufacturers to use the same technology footprints year after year, sacrificing a small portion of the field in favour of no wheel traffic in the majority of the field.
Without the use of AutoTrac™ during field operations, there is a tendency for passes to overlap. Each pass over a field in poor conditions can cause significant soil damage.
