On 26 August 2020, IPSO organised a special event at Agroserv Borcea's headquarters in order to bring to the attention of farmers the novelties in the 2020 portfolio, focusing on the improvements made by John Deere to the 7R and 8R tractor series. At the same time, a practical demonstration with the JD 8R410 tractor was held to highlight the performance of the technology developed by the American manufacturer.
New models of 7R tractors (up to 330hp and soon 350hp) and 8R (up to 410hp) have undergone a number of improvements, both technically and aesthetically, with the 8R tractor's design developed with BMW specialists.
The precision farming solutions with which JD tractors are or can be equipped contribute to their increased productivity. One noticeable change on 8R tractors is the positioning of the antenna, which on the new models is in the tractor cab.
At the event, farmers saw a demonstration of the 410hp 8R410 tractor, showcasing the 8R410's towing capacity. 8R tractors, which have minimal power loss. The engine and transmission, designed by John Deere, contribute to the tractor's increased efficiency. Tests by DLG have shown that 94% of the engine's power is active. In front of the guests, the JD 8R410 towed two tractors, the 6195M (195hp) and 7R 330 (330hp), without any problems, and together they required a minimum towing load of 30 tonnes. The power distributed to the ground was 371bhp. The ease with which the 8R410 stood up to the test gives farmers confidence that they can work in the toughest field conditions.
